GHS Students Earn the Seal of Biliteracy

Congratulations to these 43 graduating seniors at Geneva High School who have earned the Seal of Biliteracy!  The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy is awarded to high school students who have demonstrated proficiency in both English and another language through their ability to meet the designated thresholds on state approved tests in both languages.  The Seal of Biliteracy will be affixed to student diplomas as well as identified on their Geneva High School transcripts.  With this distinction, students can earn college credit if attending Illinois public universities, state- approved community colleges, and many private schools.  Congratulations again to these students, and the World Languages Department wishes them all the best in their future endeavors!

To celebrate letter J, the students wore their JERSEYS and sang along to a concert by local children’s musician, Jim Gill! Jim Gill specializes in Music Play for all young children. We were excited to have him give a concert for our three-year-olds in the morning preschool and another for our four-year-olds in the afternoon preschool.
